Coaches Workshop
Gustavo Granitto

USTA Northern California is proud to sponsor the 6th Hispanic Coaches Workshop being held October 30-31, 2010 at Oakwood Tennis Center in San Jose. This two day workshop led by Gustavo Granitto of GTC Tennis Consultancy will address how Hispanic coaches can impact tennis development in the U.S. plus the key essentials for any coach looking to attract and retain Hispanic players.
"Hispanic coaches can substantially impact the tennis development and competition in the U.S.," Granitto says. "They work hard and they love our sport. Considering that there are more then 45 million Hispanic-speaking people in the U.S., Hispanic coaches (and non-Hispanic coaches) can be also an excellent option for those people that can be seduced and retained to play tennis."
Benefits of the workshop include a unique chance to associate with the Hispanic tennis coaches community in the United States; personally engage with leaders in recreational, development and high performance tennis; get information about coaching and networking; and hear topics on recreational, high performance, coaching philosophy. There will also be some off court drills. Registration fee is $125, but there is a 10% discount for members of USTA, USPTR, or USPTA. Fees include all materials, snacks, and lunch. A certificate of completion will be given to all participants at the conclusion of the workshop.
Registration opens on September 27, 2010 and ends October 27, 2010.
